Lost Media Spotlight: Various Shit

Let’s continue with our new series of introduction posts. Shit I don’t currently own, but that’s worth keeping a tab on.

J-Soldier

A series of indie shorts by Ryoichi Sakai produced for the Kamen Rider Fan Club “Phoenix”. A total of 13 movies were produced between 1981 to ??? … They were made mostly for club screenings and AFAIK, no VHS releases exist. Most of the cast members were relatives or friends of the director. The first one was even called Kamen Rider J before being renamed to J-Soldier, predating the official one.

Henshin Goddess Alpha

There is zero information on these online, but they were Kamen Rider-inspired indie films released on VHS at some point in the early 00s. Motorcycle stunt sequences are included. Takumi Video.

Oazuke

One of the few original films by the video bargain king, “Oazuke”. This was the first film starring Sachiko Sakurai. Sold by Nichibi Tunnel Company’s Tokyo Project. A close encounter between a mad scientist’s artificial life form and high school girls. Shaider’s “Annie” Naomi Morinaga plays the role of “Amazoness” with a female executive flavor. Now, let’s continue with another speciality of this site, which is adult-oriented works. I always love finding weird and unique ones, so let’s introduce a few!

Atragon Triple X

A p*rn parody of Toho’s 1963 movie Atragon/Undersea Warship called Undersea Rape exists. Their submarine is a sex toy glued to the remains of a WW2 ship model kit, and the empress holds lesbian catfights. A Manda puppet also appears. It was directed by Takao Nakano, who later went on to write for Ultraman.

Cosmo Woman (M*ghty Lady)

The M*ghty Lady series is already infamous for its raunchiness, but if panchira and ryona don’t do it for you, there’s also a full-fledged AV parody by an infamous studio. Again, not lost, and rather easy to find online, I just found it interesting. Might be worth checking out for fans of the OG.

Horny Beast Wars Kitora

4-part adult tokusatsu starring… Kenpachiro Satsuma and Hurricane Ryu?! What? Yeah, Godzilla’s former suit actor plays a nazi general in this one, and Hurricane plays an evil mook. There’s no proper story description, it just says it has monsters, special effects and f_cking. And the monsters have d_cks. However, the actual films do have stories. The evil empire worships an undead demon god called Orochi, and in order to revive him and conquer Japan, they need to collect a substance known as female coom. They do this by kidnapping women, but Kitora fights to foil their plan! The opening also goes hard with the sound of an 80s mecha anime. This one’s not lost or anything, it can be found partially on certain tube sites. Just thought it was interesting. Hot Entertainment.

Sexy Stewardess Story

1984 AV parody of the popular 1983 Daei drama Stewardess Story starring a lookalike of Chiemi Hori. For Daiei parodies, there’s also a Mirror of Anus, but it only parodies the title and is otherwise regular barebones AV without any drama elements, which is rather boring. But Sexy Stewardess Story is notable for seemingly parodying the actual show instead of doing simple cosplay. What a feeling! 2 volumes, Boxland.
